The Inspiration
Our first WeHa Candle Co. scent was inspired by a place at the very center of "WeHa" itself - a small strip of land at the intersection of Farmington Avenue + Main Street, now known as UNITY GREEN.
The History
The focal point of the Town Center, Unity Green features the Town flagpole + today serves as communal grounds for announcements + celebration.
The land was donated by West Hartford settler, Timothy Goodman, in 1747, and for the past 250+ years was named 'Goodman Green' in his honor. In 2020, the land was renamed to no longer memorialize the well-known slaveholder.
Once used as parade grounds + even as militia training grounds during the Revolutionary War, the green has always been at the heart of Town life.
The Fragrance
Light + Green, with a slight sweetness, TOWN GREEN combines agave, sea kelp, ocean breeze, citrus zests, sparkling bergamot, dewy cyclamen and soothing sandalwood.
